Chevy rescued on 04-25-2022

We have actually had Chevy for about a month but he was in such bad shape, we weren’t sure he would make it. Chevy is a mix and is about 10 years old. He got his name because he totaled a Chevrolet ?? He was hit but in trying to avoid him, the driver ran into a tree and totaled the car. 
Chevy had a number of unslightly growths on his face, which were removed and pathology found to be benign! He has some more on his body which will also be removed. He is also heart worm positive, and treatment has been begun. 
Chevy needs to be in a home or foster home for however long he has (hopefully at least a year or two). He is close to San Antonio, TX.
