Loretta and her brother, Hank, just came into rescue - their former owners had been evicted and after the landlord came in three days later, he found them in a wire crate, together, with no food or water. They ended up being handed back to their owners.... A week later, they were found in a storage unit (it turned out that they had been there 2 days), again with no food or water, and again, were returned to their owners. The following week, in another city, they were picked up as strays and after their stray hold expired, we took them.

So far, both are very people friendly, great at the vets, and fine with cats. Because they came with pretty bad kennel cough, they have not met other dogs, but we suspect they'll be fine. Although underweight, other than kennel cough, they appear healthy. Loretta can be placed on her own or with her brother.
